Hmm, that was wacky, this photo just uploaded itself. One of all possible quantum outcomes?

Right, no box and this cat is obviously not in an indeterminate state but the title amuses me all the same. I tried to find the post that made me laugh so hard the first time when I saw it, but it seems to have disappeared. Here are a couple of subs and my critiques:

Correct - is the cat dead or alive?

Incorrect - cat's waveform is already collapsed, we know it's in the box.

If you find that Schroedinger's cat link interesting, you might want to read Quarantine by Greg Egan. Has an interesting take on the Copenhagen Interpretation. It will make your brain hurt, but that is a good thing ;-).
