bad egg

Another shot of the Imax theatre. You can see Glasgow has gone through some serious urban revitalization. Used to be the biggest ship building centre in the world, now all that industry has gone elsewhere. However instead of letting the prime riverside real estate be turned into condos (hello, Toronto, I'm looking at you), they've built a bunch of public buildings like this theatre, the science centre etc. I think I often come across as not liking Glasgow (damn this weather!) but it is actually a pretty amazing city. I am not some one who is keen to walk around. I like to walk with a destination in mind, but I have to say that walking around Glasgow and checking out all the amazing architecture is starting to change my attitude.

The building in the background is not actually burned out as it looks, but covered in mirrored glass that is reflecting the clouds behind me.

  • I find myself thinking about that "Late Night" picture.... something about it?? It's very powerful. I can't say I like it. It's just that I keep thinking about it.
